Frans werd in 1921 in Apeldoorn geboren en groeide op in Winterswijk. Na zijn priesterwijding in 1947 werd Frans achtereenvolgens kapelaan, godsdienstleraar en pastoor. In 1968 volgde zijn (eervolle) ontslag, doordat hij wilde leven naar het Woord van zijn Heer: “Zoek eerst het Koninkrijk Gods en al het andere zal u toegeworpen worden” (Matt. 6:33). Vanaf dat moment ging Frans op een kamer wonen. Vanuit deze kamer ontving hij zijn verdere opdracht om alles (geleidelijk) los te laten. Na het wonen op een kamer ging hij in zijn auto wonen en zwierf daarin rond. Weer een stap verder maakte dat hij zijn auto weg deed en op de fiets rondtrok. Als laatste verdween ook de fiets en ging hij te voet verder. Frans leefde zonder geld en heeft zijn leven lang ervaren dat de Heer hem ook werkelijk “al het andere” toegeworpen heeft.
Frans has left everything behind and therefore lived without a permanent place of residence or residence. He visited people, individuals, who wanted to grow towards a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus, in the Netherlands and far beyond. Frans' mission in life was further “to pray for a renewed Church of Europe and a new vision for it. For the last eight years, until his death, he lived in Doetinchem, where he is also buried.
The basis of Frans's life was, Jesus alone (1 Cor. 2: 2)! Jesus only as the answer to all life questions.
The Royal Road
As you can see on this site, Frans has written several books and booklets. We know that many friends of Frans have become acquainted with him by reading the book “De Koninklijke weg”. We therefore recommend that you read that book first.
Frans valued living without money and all his books are therefore available for free through us. From the first book there was always a request to order just one copy. We still want to hold on to that, because we don't care about distributing the books in large numbers.
